Synopsis
A man in his forties wakes up in an elevator, unaware of what he is doing there. Suddenly the intercom crackles. The man asks for help.
A woman’s voice answers him with a question: « ARE YOU ESSENTIAL? »

Thierry Debroux
Thierry Debroux was born in Brussels.
He trained as an actor at INSAS in Brussels.
He acted in several movies and TV movies.
He completed a Masters in screenplay at La Fémis under the direction of Eve Deboise. He
has been writing for television for ten years.
He received the prize for Best Screenplay for Le Silence des Eglises (France 2, with Robin
Renucci and Robinson Stévenin).
He has just made his first short film, “Essentiel” with Laurent Capelluto.
He has written and directed many plays.
In July 2022, he staged Romeo and Juliet at the Abbey of Villers-la-Ville
