Fredrik, a nerdy pop singer, has found a perfect substitute for his lack of love and human connection: he now tours the Swedish countryside as a medium, and receives the admiration of a desperate audience overwhelmed by mourning. But during a particularly crowded divinatory reading, Fredrik invites on stage a woman whose grief turns out to be a little too raw.
