Five On The Richter Scale
a film by Myriam Moraly
Five on the Richter scale. Enough to wake up some people.
Noise of dishes, of windows and doors. A few pieces of furniture are moved.
Unstable objects are tipped over...
Jury Award – Fréjus Film Festival, selected at Sacramento, Ebensee, Trouville, etc…
« Five on the Richter scale, when a too well ordered life is turned upside down… Pauline is antisocial, obsessive and downright borderline. The arrival of a five-year-old child in Pauline’s life is going to upset all her habits, and to force her, against her will, to adapt herself … Pauline is a caricature of our own faults: we spend most of our time planning, controlling, and sometimes the freshness of a child is enough for reminding to us that we miss such essential things as humor and whim. » Myriam Moraly
